DAFi tracks your learning as you study: a learning score over time, the concepts you still need to solidify, your quiz and flashcard results, your streak. A calendar gathers your exams and deadlines, detected from your courses, and reminds you the day before.

DAFi shows you where you stand in each course and what's coming up next. The Analytics tab measures your learning from your quiz and flashcard results, lists the concepts you still need to solidify and keeps track of your study streak. The Calendar gathers your exams, presentations and deadlines, many of them detected automatically from your course material, and sends you a reminder the day before.

Most students only find out what they don't know when they get their grade back. Progress tracking moves that moment earlier, while there's still time to do something about it.

How it works

  1. Study as usual. Create notes from your lectures, take quizzes and review flashcards. Every result feeds your progress; there's nothing extra to log.
  2. Check the Analytics tab. You'll find:
  • a learning score with its trend over one week, one month, three months, six months or a year;
  • the number of concepts to solidify;
  • your quiz and flashcard results;
  • your engagement: consecutive-day streak and daily activity;
  • how many notes you've generated, consulted and revised.
  1. Open a note to go deeper. Each note has its own progress view, with strengths and weaknesses concept by concept (they drive your adaptive revision).
  2. Let the calendar fill up. When your course material mentions an exam, an oral presentation or a submission date, DAFi adds it to your calendar. You can also add events by hand with a title, type, date and description.
  3. Get reminded. The day before an event, you get a notification. Before upcoming exams, Analytics also recommends flashcards and quizzes to review.

Who it's for

Maya, first-year psychology student. She has five courses and no idea which one is slipping. Analytics shows her learning score dropping in statistics and eight concepts to solidify there. She moves her Sunday session to that course.

Hugo, engineering student with back-to-back deadlines. His syllabi list lab reports, a presentation and two midterms. As he imports them, the dates appear in his DAFi calendar, and the evening before each one he gets a reminder instead of a surprise.

Tips

  • Check the calendar at the start of the semester. Import your course outlines early so the key dates are there from week one, then verify them and add anything missing. Our guide to planning your semester walks through it.
  • Look at the trend, not a single day. One bad quiz isn't a problem. A score going down over a month is.
  • Use "concepts to solidify" as your weekly list. Picking three at the start of each week keeps revision manageable.
  • Protect your streak with small sessions. Ten minutes of flashcards counts. Regular short sessions beat one long cram, as our exam week plan shows.

Frequently asked questions

How does DAFi measure my progress?

From what you do in the app: your answers to quizzes and your flashcard reviews, grouped by concept. That's what the learning score, the strengths and weaknesses and the concepts to solidify are based on.

Does DAFi track my study time?

No. DAFi tracks your results and your activity (streak, daily activity, notes consulted and revised), not the minutes you spend studying.

How are exam dates added to the calendar?

DAFi detects exams and deadlines mentioned in your course content and adds them automatically. You can add or complete events yourself at any time: exam, oral, submission or other.

Will I get reminders?

Yes. The app sends a notification the day before an event. You can manage event reminders and study reminders in your notification settings.

Does DAFi build a study plan for me?

Not a full schedule. It recommends flashcards and quizzes to review before your upcoming exams, and you decide how to fit them into your week.

Knowing where you stand is half the work. DAFi keeps the score, the weak spots and the dates in one place so you can focus on the other half.
